Summary: Arrivals.
You want happiness. A company called RECOVERjoy has offered it to you, so you've signed up with them. Gaining happiness can't hurt, right?

Suddenly you're in a room, an apartment, with three other beds and unfamiliar faces. This is your assigned room, and it's quite crowded. You don't get much of a chance to think as your phone beeps--it's not your phone, maybe you've never had a phone, but there's one in your hand so you check it. It's a smart phone, nothing special about it, but now you've received a text from RECOVERjoy.

Welcome to Joywick! We're so happy to have you!

You've arrived in your assigned room, we hope you like it! Don't worry, you can move out once you've collected enough joypoints. Speaking of, if you'd like to check your balance, there's a special application that tracks it for you right on your phone! Handy, right?

... Did you check? If you did, you'll notice you have no joypoints. But don't despair! We're giving you a special mission. Make three (3) friends and get 200 joypoints! Gee, that's easy! Of course, we can't put a level on something like friendship, so just get to know people. Don't miss out on these easy points! We'll give you more information about joypoints once you're done.

[Of course, the grin dropped when the knife was thrown away, and Bel wore a very pouty expression, clearly displeased.]

I hope for your sake the first one isn't true. How troublesome it will be to get stabbed repeatedly while in a deep sleep! Oh, the horror! ha ha ha ha ha...!

[he falls back first on his bed, laughing at the possible truth of Shouichi having narcrolepsy. The many pranks he can use on such an easy target will surely help him rack up on joypoints.[

[It's a few moments before he speaks again. He keeps cuddling and snuggling into Mammon- it was really him.]

[But when Mammon sounded confused, Bel pulled away for a moment, his smile faltering just a bit. How could you not remember something like that?]

[He keeps holding onto Mammon, but faces him now.]

He does get one slightly confused look for it though before she replies.]

From Australia, certainly! This is already shaping up to be quite an interesting stay, I can only imagine the tremendous mesh of citizens that will be here. [It's a pretty exciting prospect to him, all things considered.

He hums thoughtfully, and then:] I'd like to know how you've enjoyed Australia, in that case. I've never been outside of Japan myself, you see.

Naturally. Persistence is a valuable trait. [a small pause, and an even smaller shrug.] Well, in small doses.

Aha, I guess I've just been lucky after all, then. [But he doesn't really seem irritated by the prospect of running into a bunch of nutjobs. It kind of comes with the territory and all.

The enthusiasm, on the other hand, is something he can definitely respond to in kind. It isn't so much the topic itself that interests him, though; not half as much as the very subtle but sudden change in demeanor.]

Oh! I feel quite out of the loop now, I guess my age is showing. [A laugh, and he leans back a little to scope out the entirety of the wall, as if imagining what the entire thing would look like covered in street art.] But he sounds like a very impressive artist. It's a shame there isn't anything like that here, I have a feeling the residents would appreciate a little change of pace after looking at so much orange.

[Another one without a scream. How disappointing is the day going to get... there have been maybe two or three actual screams, out of everyone who's gone by; it's not even a significant fraction.

Yotsuya is more than a little put off about this, and yet again, no scream from this cloaked person. There is a moment he doesn't move in the face of that annoyed look, before he sighs and lifts his hand, waving the stranger away while he covers his face with the other hand.]

[GOOD GIRL--this is the reaction he's been gunning for all day and now, finally, someone has lived up to expectations! He lets go of her as soon as she starts to turn, and his hands are held up in front of him in case she tries to hit him or something!! (so maybe kids hit him a lot, big...deal....) -- but the look on his face is anything but affected by her anger.

[Never had Marx felt so angry and humiliated in his life, unless you count the time when Kirby won the battle against him on the moon. All that work, all that planning, lost in an instant. And like now, there's nothing he can do about it.

One thing's for sure, Marx is going to make him pay in his own little way. But not now, no... he's a patient one. When all things come into play, he will strike. And he will be the one with the last laugh]
