Summary: Masaomi attempts to discreetly thank Rhyme for helping Mikado. By not-so-discreetly shoving food in her face.

Kida Masaomi had felt rather useless lately. Perhaps that was why he was standing here in the hallway connecting the several crowded rooms that housed virtually everyone in Joywick. The reason didn't matter though, if only so he didn't have to think about it. Instead, he played with his phone, trying to appear busy when anyone passed him by.

He didn't know the girl's cell or room number, so this was his best bet for catching her. Hopefully nobody would ask why he was standing next to a lunch bundle in the hallway before he got the chance.

Did he just accomplish the opposite of what he was trying to accomplish here?

Masaomi deflated ever so slightly. It wasn't as funny as when Mikado shut him down. "It was a joke, a joke! Be careful with that, you'll squash something..."

"But that wasn't funny at all...." she sighed, picking it back up. "But I'll keep it, since I'm pretty sure you won't let me do otherwise..."

"I get that a lot." He almost couldn't laugh at that today. Almost. But he did anyway, as he started walking backward down the hall. "So you better enjoy it, or else I'll start joking around again!"

[carsharkkonishi]

She laughed.

"Okay! And I'm sorry I didn't get your joke!" she waved as he left, turning to go to her room, the package now safe in her arms.
