Summary: Arrivals.
You want happiness. A company called RECOVERjoy has offered it to you, so you've signed up with them. Gaining happiness can't hurt, right?

Suddenly you're in a room, an apartment, with three other beds and unfamiliar faces. This is your assigned room, and it's quite crowded. You don't get much of a chance to think as your phone beeps--it's not your phone, maybe you've never had a phone, but there's one in your hand so you check it. It's a smart phone, nothing special about it, but now you've received a text from RECOVERjoy.

Welcome to Joywick! We're so happy to have you!

You've arrived in your assigned room, we hope you like it! Don't worry, you can move out once you've collected enough joypoints. Speaking of, if you'd like to check your balance, there's a special application that tracks it for you right on your phone! Handy, right?

... Did you check? If you did, you'll notice you have no joypoints. But don't despair! We're giving you a special mission. Make three (3) friends and get 200 joypoints! Gee, that's easy! Of course, we can't put a level on something like friendship, so just get to know people. Don't miss out on these easy points! We'll give you more information about joypoints once you're done.

Well, you probably want more joypoints either way. Here's how! Look for another person. I bet they look fairly happy, right? Why are they happier than you? Because they've got the joypoints you need! The only way to get those joypoints is to steal theirs. How? Take their happiness away. It's easy! Maybe a rumor here, an injury there... but if you want the big points, be creative!

[This answer didn't satisfy Bel in the slightest, and that fact is reflected in the lack of change to his facial expression.]

That was in the past, Mammon. That ace crushed the watch himself. Did coming here strike you with amnesia?

After that, Boss struck his own watch and- [Now he can't take part... He stops talking and returns to the menu again instead, pressing buttons and reminding himself that this is why he's playing this game. It's okay.

Bel probably had a weird wish he wanted granting and was there for that instead. He had his own life to worry about. If only he knew]

[The irritation came to Bel's face as well- why didn't he remember? What was wrong with him?]

We tackled boss down to prevent him from doing that. He's still in.

[The "still in" is said a bit hesitantly. Now that Mammon is for all intents and purposes dead, was their team still really in?]

[He tried to pull Mammon toward him.]

[He only looks at him from the side though, and stop talking about this as it's pissing him off, and only making him lose more points!!]

Mammon's wrong. We played in that game for a while after that, until-

[He stops short as a thought came to him. In those fuzzy memories of the future, he remembered that some had the power to cross into different timelines and bring others here.]

[Maybe this company had the same ability? He looks contemplative for a moment.]

[Just Bring It, idiot Prince- though oh, apparently he's going to shut up and think now.

[The annoyance in his expression disappears as realization takes it's place.]

I think you're from one of those alternate timelines that the Millefiore boss traveled across. This organization must have the same power.

[A pause.]

There's no way what the prince is remembering is wrong.

Without the appropriate evidence assuming can only go so far.

[In other words, they can't know for sure, but let's roll with that.

Does that mean he'll stop clinging on now? Mammon hopes so.]

[For a brief moment, Bel considers telling Mammon his fate. But just as quickly, he realizes how useless that would be. Mammon was uncursed here, and he was free of playing that game for his life. He was safe from the fate that awaited him back home, wasn't he?]

[Remembering how Mammon reacted when he found out, and more to the point turned, it seemed less and less of a good idea.]

[With somewhat of a forced smile, Bel snuggles into Mammon once more and lets go, placing his hands behind his head. Back to normal and everything was going to be okay, right?]

A prince's word is always true, 'mm?

[It's a good thing he decides on otherwise, just to save this dumb baby's sanity. Maybe to save Bel's as well. The curse is lifted here though, so maybe it would just be smart to stay in this world, never leave...

If he got his abilities back, anyway.

Bel's actions are completely suspicious, though.]

[It's not said as an insult as it would be from Someone Else, but it does carry a certain bite to it.]

[He seems almost to quick to revert back into the familiar, giggly prince. Though his eyes were covered for (in his view) more noble reasons, he was glad that Mammon couldn't exactly see the strain in them.]

[His words begin to carry the normal amount of brattiness again.]

[Leaning over, he peered at Mammon's screen.]

'Shishi! Trying to survive on scraps to save money? Just like Mammon.

[He shifted a little so Bel could read the options from behind him, and clicked through a few more pages. It was rather obvious what he was doing. Each menu seemed as unhelpful as the last as they only went up in price.

Where were they even supposed to store the food.]

We have no idea how long it is until the next set of points is made available.

[Bel barely bites back a response, but it turn creates an unusually long silence for him. He attempts to make it fade with a few forced giggles, but the effect is nothing but strange.]

[He did, however, stop giving giggles when he noticed the price of a full meal plan.]

They don't plan to starve us if they want us to live through this game.

[He isn't taking that risk! He refuses to die on anyone's terms but his own!

Anyway, Mammon blinks at Bel's suggestion wow sexist indeed and frowns. It's not like either of them are the best chefs... they hire chefs for that reason.]
