OPENING LOG.
Characters: Everyone!
Date: August 11th
Rating/Warnings: Nothing as of yet. Mark anything that qualifies a warning in your subject line!
Summary: Arrivals.
You want happiness. A company called RECOVERjoy has offered it to you, so you've signed up with them. Gaining happiness can't hurt, right?
Suddenly you're in a room, an apartment, with three other beds and unfamiliar faces. This is your assigned room, and it's quite crowded. You don't get much of a chance to think as your phone beeps--it's not your phone, maybe you've never had a phone, but there's one in your hand so you check it. It's a smart phone, nothing special about it, but now you've received a text from RECOVERjoy.
Welcome to Joywick! We're so happy to have you!
You've arrived in your assigned room, we hope you like it! Don't worry, you can move out once you've collected enough joypoints. Speaking of, if you'd like to check your balance, there's a special application that tracks it for you right on your phone! Handy, right?
... Did you check? If you did, you'll notice you have no joypoints. But don't despair! We're giving you a special mission. Make three (3) friends and get 200 joypoints! Gee, that's easy! Of course, we can't put a level on something like friendship, so just get to know people. Don't miss out on these easy points! We'll give you more information about joypoints once you're done.
Wishing you happiness,
RECOVERjoy : )
You're in this for 1 million joypoints, aren't you? Might as well get started.
(AFTER THE MISSION HAS BEEN ACCOMPLISHED OR ONCE 24 HOURS HAVE PASSED)
You receive another text from RECOVERjoy.
Great job on the mission! Or not so great job for those who didn't do it. : (
Well, you probably want more joypoints either way. Here's how! Look for another person. I bet they look fairly happy, right? Why are they happier than you? Because they've got the joypoints you need! The only way to get those joypoints is to steal theirs. How? Take their happiness away. It's easy! Maybe a rumor here, an injury there... but if you want the big points, be creative!
You want to be happy, don't you?
Wishing you happiness,
RECOVERjoy : )
... Not quite what you expected when you signed up. You can't leave, though, you still owe RECOVERjoy 500 joypoints and, well, you came here for a reason.

[Which was strange. None of it made sense. Had his memories been altered by Humpty Dumpty? He still doesn't move as he stares into Leo's eyes then, directly into them for the first time; without the glasses, without the hair. His eyes were beautiful, almost dizzying.
He had to catch himself before he got too distracted.]
...Where are your glasses, Leo? Your hair too...it's different.
[Just what had happened?]
no subject
After you were gone.. [ he stopped again. he wasn't usually hesitant but he didn't expect this when he arrived. ] I was sick of blocking everything out. From hiding, I suppose.
[ a sigh; his brow furrowed. ] It doesn't matter now, does it?
no subject
You were the one who decided to hide in the first place. You never had to.
[He'd never understood entirely why Leo wanted to hide so badly, to see the world behind a curtain of glass and dark hair. He'd given him the pair of glasses to satisfy the boy's demand, but he didn't know what it would be like to want to view the world like that.
Elliot had never truly asked either, simply because it had never been necessary to. He'd respected Leo enough to not pry into that and the respect had been returned to him. Despite the quarreling, quibbling and various items thrown at each other, there was no one who Elliot would've considered closer to him. Leo had been his best friend, after all - not just some servant.]
After I was gone...
[It's eerie to say those words. It's somewhat horrifying to think that he died. Had he really died? Had he? Who knew what was true and what wasn't anymore.
Elliot could already feel the beginning of a headache knock against his temples.]
No, it doesn't.
[It didn't matter. Whatever had happened, well...it was important but it didn't matter. Getting up he grabbed the hand that was still clinging to his wrist to pull Leo up with him, helping both of them to their feet.]
I'm not gone now, am I?
no subject
but after this game was over, he would be. wouldn't he? but it wasn't important. having elliot here now was the only thing that mattered. and if he needed to, he would watch over him like a hawk. grabbing his hand, he took a staggering stand and brushed himself off.
he wasn't the leo that he used to know, though. he was different now. things had changed. everything just can't be turned into reverse for the better.
and the fact he was a Baskerville now. he was to be the new glen. well, telling him that would just come in a matter of time. for now, he'll give a sigh and even a nervous laughter at his own thoughts. Forgive me, Elliot.
everything will be revealed only if it needed to be. ]
Don't change, Elliot. [ at least not like he had. ]
no subject
[As if he'd change. Elliot Nightray was stubborn and almost impossible to persuade. If he firmly believed something, it'd stay that way. He wouldn't change, at least, not a lot. Not drastically and if anything, only for the better.
Dusting himself off and brushing sand out of his hair, hands found their way to his hips as he stared at Leo, a bit unsure of what to make of him. It was weird to see Leo without his glasses; even weirder were the clothes he was dressed in. They were rather fancy - expensive. Although Elliot had always made sure Leo was dressed well, he knew better than anyone Leo cared little for physical appearance.
Clearly, someone had given his servant a makeover.
Elliot's not really sure how to feel about that.]
There are a lot of things we're going to have to discuss, you know. [A fair warning.] But not right now. [The last thing he wanted was to make his headache worse.]
There's one thing I'm going to say though, so listen up! [A finger pointed its way toward Leo, pressing against his chest for good measure.]
Glasses or not you're still Leo, got that? You're my servant and friend and that's that!
[He won't listen to anything otherwise.]
no subject
you can say leo was getting a breath of fresh air with this new place. now that elliot was here after all. but that didn't stop him from his goal. this is merely a temporary state in time.
but as if things weren't serious enough right now, all leo could do was laugh...
and laugh. sorry elliot, but your 'servant' can't stop. he means no foul play but you can say this brings him back. even if it has only been a week or so since elliot died for him, it felt like eternity. but after he calmed down a bit, he extended his arm. just like he had done back at the house of fianna when elliot asked him to be his servant. ]
Let's just get out of here then. Alright?
no subject
There's the immediate reflex to punch Leo in the shoulder for laughing at him, but it's when he sees the arm extended he knows it's nothing callous. It's automatic when his gloved hand (the fabric stained from his mother's blood) reaches out to take hold of Leo's, face splitting into a grin. Elliot's grip is tight and he's not sure what he's doing until he does it; he pulls him into a quick hug, squeezing his arms around his servant's.]
You're right. Let's get out of here.
no subject
when he pulled his hand back, he placed his hands out for another reason. elliot was still bloody from things that happened so as his 'servant' it was his job to get him fixed up.
correct? well. ]
Elliot, give me your gloves. We're going back to your room first.
no subject
Huh, why?
[He didn't protest though, even though he questioned it, peeling the stained gloves from his fingers before handing them over.]
I don't have another pair.
no subject
[ his voice was almost carefree. he'll just have to clean them or something if they weren't able to retrieve another pair. nothing to worry about elliot, gosh.
he began walking back from the way he came. you better keep up, elliot or he might just leave you behind. ]
You'll need new clothes, too. [ everything was becoming more troublesome. ]
no subject
Jesus Leo. Rude.]
Will I?
[Oh. He probably would, wouldn't he? They weren't too badly stained with blood, but they were still stained.]
Well...if I just get the blood out, it'll be fine, right?
no subject
but what really happened: ]
Elliot, we'll be here for a while.
no subject
Speaking of, that brought up the question as to what the reason for Leo playing was. But he'd ask that later.]
By that logic, you're going to need new clothes too, Leo.
